2.4 to 2.7 - MFI Question

Thank you all for responses to my prior thread on machine work required on my 2.4 for installing 2.7 RS P&C.

The engine I have in mind, if it turns out to be a realistic possibility, is kind of a 2.7 RS/E, with E cams or similar and some kind of modified MFI cam but using as many of my existing parts as possible.

I know all the 2.4s (and 2.7s?) have the same valve sizes. What I don't know (among many other things) is whether the 2.4T MFI throttle bodies will work in this application, assuming standard T/E port configuration. I don't need a real RS-spec engine.

If this engine idea won't work, somebody please disabuse me and I'll bark up another tree. I also have a set of Webers.

Stacks and throttle bodies (sized accordingly) and new space cam in the pump depending on your setup.
Personally, and while not cheap, I would consider the PMO setup as it's a bit less technical for the do-it-yourselfer. MFI is wonderful when it's working properly but a major pita if otherwise. I don't like complication.

The "T" throttles are much smaller and I've heard the bolt pattern is different also.

On my car, I did not change the heads or the stacks. I took mfi to gus at PFI along with injectors and stacks. Injectors were still great after 20 yrs. He cleaned up stacks and said I did not need to rebuild them. I installed e cams with my setup. Took me about 6 months before I fully understood the mfi. My car has 50,000 miles on it and runs great. I have it running rich which it likes. I have never fouled a plug. I find this to be a great street and auto-x setup. The car is not that fast but, it's quick and pulls hard to 6000. Sometimes I wish I would have gone the 's' route. But, at the time I did not have the money. I know you mentioned going to a 3.2 motor. I would probably do that now if I had the chance.
I built the engine myself in my sisters basement with 2 books and some friends help. I had never built a porsche engine before. I did not do what should have done in regurds to what I have read on this board. But, it worked and I'm pretty proud that it has lasted this long. I beat my car! It may be old but, I can scare the crap out of people driving up mt tam in it. Have fun!!

we decided to go MFI on our high compression high rpm 2.7 street motor we're building... we were gonna use a set of 46mm webers we had in teh basement, but a nice MFI setup off a 3.0L racecar came up...

My dads race engine builder said the MFI would give about the same power but would give us better idle and a few toher little things... in other words he says the mfi would b ebetter for street driving
