Question about 3.0 upgrade in a 1977

I have a friend who is looking to upgrade his 2.7 to either a 3.0 or 3.2. I told him I just did a 3.2 and there were many upgrades needed such as oil cooler, wiring harnesses, brain, and notching the 915 Tranny to accept the flywheel sensors. Here is the question...if my friend does a 3.0 upgrade, do you still need all the mods I noted above or is it truly plug and play?

I have a 3.0, cis motor for sale that will truly be a plug and play upgrade in his car, it has an on board oil cooler, doesn't need anything additional. early 3.0 liters, like mine, don't require a brain or ecu, the later ones have an o2 sensor brain. It doesn't need a notch in the 915, is complete from distributor to all FI components, flywheel and clutch. Search on my user name for recent posts. The motor is crated up, and ready to go.

Minor wiring changes of the engine harness are required to fit an early 3.0 large port engine to the '77 model year to make it plug and play.
