Buy some Walmart seat covers quick. Those look horrible.

I would likely be the only person to live with the aweful recovering job. I'll pm my address

Who restored those horrible awesome seats?

How much did it cost to do those to that standard?

Before your post I thought my seats looked pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Congrats on your seating masterpieces and making everyone else's look like tired trash.

Isn't it amazing how good seats like that transform the interior? I went through that last summer with the seats, then finished with the interior panels over the winter. Had my seats done with triple-stitched seams rather than piping.

Tripple Stich great look how do cost and durability compare???

The best seats, Beautifully redone.

I really like the look of the triple stitching over the stock welt/bead.

How do cost and durability compare between the two?? - I have no experience.

The front end is almost complete, then the transaxle overhaul, then Sport Seats. Really looking forward to getting them for my 74.

Totally stoked,
chris

Who restored them and what cost.?? I've got covers without piping in black leather that I bought from autobahn. Gonna try myself first.

Anyone looking for core set?

I too like the look of triple stitch instead of welding/piping. But I had it done (by Autobahn) in hopes of more durability. The piping on big bolster seats always shows wear first, so I figured this would look good longer. Tony at Autobahn agreed with that thought. Up charge for that was $100 per seat about this time last year (2015).

wacko, I don't have any pics w/o the leather upholstery, I'll have to request that next time.
chrismorse, I think it's referred to as double stitching, you don't count the seam. The previous old upholstery piping was fine and withstood 41+ years of getting in and out. The seats were upholstered, to look original, for a restoration.
vintagecarlover, I used a guy in Coulterville CA. The pair in leather w/ perforated centers was $2200, any other work and/or part/s is extra.
Arne, I've dealt with Tony at Autobahn, in the past, he's a good guy.

The seam with the double stitching is frequently referred to as a "French Seam".

I am jealous of those nicely done seats. Thanks for starting the post Chino. You might have shamed me enough to do something about mine. I've got much the same in my 911SC.
