receiver drier a/c

Hi everyone,
this spring time I intend to reactivate the air conditioning of my 1988 carrera.

One of the former owner exchanged the original receiver drier with an unknown one.
In this connection it seems that few hoses were also modified.
Now I will have minimal effort if I am able to find such a receiver drier.
Unfortunately there is no label, no print and no embossment.
Does anyone knows this type of receiver drier ?

Thanks for help.

I don't know if Pelican would sell just the drier separately (my guess is "no"), but you might try asking RennAire directly . . . here's the RennAire dude's email ---->

Dryer.

Definitely Rennaire.

I just replaced mine.

As I recall, I paid $150 NIB for mine shipped
on our website.

Good luck,

Gerry

Hi Rawknees'Turbo,
hello Gerry,

thanks for your help.

I will contact RennAire directly.

Gerry, do you run this RennAire-Kit with R12 or R134a liquid?

As my a/c system is without liquid at the moment, I want to chance over to R134a.

I would do a search for a pro cooler on this site. (Used parts).

I think I paid about $150 shipped.

When our compressor finally died a "slow death",
I opted for a total A/C replacement, with the exception
of the existing Rennaire high flow evaporator.

Including:

1. A new pump.

2. Barrier hoses (Made my own.)

3.TVX

4. A/C temp switch. (The new ones are much better).

In the interest of recharging costs,
I did transition to R134 from the R12.

PM me as needed.

Good luck,

Gerry

Hi everyone,

hereby I will give you a short update concerning my RennAire ProCooler drier / receiver.

I contacted RennAire Porsche 911 Air Conditioning Products directly and asked for buying the drier / receiver and the O-ring seals separately.

In this connection I got in touch with Cab who told me it will be no problem. The current price will be approx.. USD 145 plus freight.

I had very pleasant conversation with Cab, he answered all my mails patiently and helped me to find the cheapest way to ship the parts to Germany.

I look forward to receive the parts in the near future and I am curious about feeling the cooling efficiency of the a/c with new receiver and 134a liquid.

Thanks a lot for your help so far.
