A/C questions

Hey guys I'm looking at putting the A/C back into my car 82 911sc
There was a little switch next to my steering wheel now destroyed which I have to replace ..but I Beleive it's just an A/C switch and not and A/C thermostat switch?
I've seen there's two different types
Heat was after market bolt on which I'm not putting back in so I Beleive I only need a A/c switch which controls the unit in the frunk

It would be this??

And not this??

The top switch is the A/C on, and fan speed switch.

The bottom switch is the A/C temp switch.

Good luck,

Gerry

For purposes of clarification, you do need both switches. Good luck. Tim

Don't you have a console?
If not then I suspect the PO removed it and mounted the dials elsewhere. Some people fabricate a bracket for that purpose.

I have a console but don't ever remember there being anything mounted there
Here's where the switch I remember being

Remember heat was put in after factory which I think was controlled by an auto heat unit that lives between both the seats.

I also found a braided cable which goes up the A-pillar I think from this unit which was damaged

That RHD dash with the ign switch on the right is just weird. All bets are off! But my guess is that's where the light switch goes, and the air con switches go in a small centre console down below.
