1969 911t stock weber idle jets
Hi,
Rebuilt my weber 40's with my engine a year back and I'm pretty sure I have clogged idle jets. I remember getting them out after removing retaining screws but how do you pull them up and out with carbs on engine? On bench you turn carbs upside down and they drop out? Feel like there should be a way to withdraw them carbs on engine. What am I forgetting here? Thank you Sam 1969 911T NYC |

Aren't the idle jets on the outboard side of the carbs?

sorry not idle jets
I guess I mean the main jets that are under the three little retaining screws
on the top of the carbs. I have a reference picture I took of these three longer tubes with multiple holes in them that I think were held in by the three retaining screws. (blue arrows in pelican site photo) Your correct the idle jets are on the side of the carb with single holes. |

#19 in the upper drawing is an imulsion tube.
Idle jets are #26. They are on the side at the top of the carbs. #23 on the bottom drawing.

Emulsion tubes really don't get clogged unless the gas turned to varnish. aclean #26 and see if that helps. Also they need to be at least a 0.55.
