engine performance after bottom end rebuild

When I first reinstalled my car's engine it ran fantastic. Strong pulling power under hard load, engine was very blippy and sprite and it had intoxicating noise. It was everything that I had hoped it would be. During the last few drives that I've had in the car, I am now experiencing some bogging down when I step on the accelerator pedal at below 2500 rpm. It feels like it is just sputtering as if I was in too high a gear eventhough I would be in the correct gear for the speed I would be driving. I'm just about at the 1000 mile mark for doing the valve adjustment after the rebuild. Is what I'm experiencing a symptom of the valves needing adjustment or should I be looking for another remedy? Any direction anyone can point me in I would be most grateful. Thank you!

I'd doubt a driveability problem is rooted in something related to a bottom end rebuild. Valves get loose and noisy but have to be way way off to impact compression and power. Timing or a sensor- sounds like fuel and spark are not matched for load. Good luck

1st check would be vacuum leaks.

I was thinking that this might be the relevant issue. Either the engine is bogging down from fuel starvation or it is getting too much fuel so the plugs are getting fouled from too much gas.

I already thought of that and as I was doing an inspection I saw no cracks, breaks or tears in any of the brand new lines and the new clamps were nicely snugged up.

What about an intake leak?

I plan on spending some time with it tomorrow so I will update after I go through it some more. I appreciate the input.
