Dansk inlet size??

Going to get a Dansk sport muffler from our host. To keep costs down I'm likely going with a painted steel muffler.

My 83 911 SC has SSI's on it. The outlet SSI header pipes are 2 inch outside diameter.

I am unable to find any Dansk muffler technical information online or within the forums.

My question is - Do all Dansk 2 in 1 out mufflers have 2 inch diameter inlet pipes? Or, what part number muffler do I need to get to have 2 inch diameter inlets??

Really don't want a muffler with a smaller inlet pipe diameter to restrict exhaust flow.

Thanks.

All inlets are the same, it's the exit that varies. Duals tend to drone due to harmonics.

My 74 style dansk sport 2 in 2 out had inlets that are slightly less than 2 inches in internal diameter based on how they are made around the flanges. I forget the actual measurement, but a few months ago i also posted trying to find info. It seemed like a poor design with the slight but unneeded diamet reduction... Although the dansk sport models are said to be among the best for performance/power while still acting like a muffler. My dyno numbers were great also.

I wondered if mine was a one off, or if all dansk sports
Were slightly less than 2?

I have an SSI SC and a Dansk 2-1, works perfect. I like it a lot, not too loud but feels just as powerful as the louder muffler I had on there before.

Currently have a Billy Boat muffler.

Rebuilt it once already and it needs attention once more - another loose baffle and the insulation has deteriorated again.

Billy Boat Muffler - loose baffle

Love the sound but it is far too loud. I wear ear plugs whenever driving more than an hour and we tend to do mostly long distance drives with 1500 to 2000 kms over a weekend.

So - had enough and it is time to change.
