Question Walker Products Oxygen Sensor

Has anyone tried this sensor? Not the universal but OEM connector one.

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa - Emissions Equipment - Page 1

I think Pelican has the wrong diagram

Here is the pic I found on the net, looks like the correct connectors for 3.2 84-85

Supposed to be NTK ( NGK ) innerds.

Heck, it is even more expensive than BOSCH.

I have lost faith with Bosch products and want to try something new.

TIA,

Hi J...I also feel the same about Bosch as you do...I recently ordered a Bosch distributor cap, and on the bottom of the brass pins, the Bakelite? had broken off about 1/4 of an inch down on everyone of them...I sent it back on warranty to end up with a replacement that worse than the first one!...Both were made in Spain.

The Bakelite? had been broken off due to the way that the machining was done that grinds the pins for then to have flat surfaces...I ended up purchasing a Beru VK311S that was less than half the price of the Bosch. Like $28. vs $68. and it appears to be as well, or even of a better looking quality than that of a Bosch. It also has ten 5 star ratings on our hosts parts page... "Beru is an OEM supplier to European car manufacturers"

The new Bosch Fuel pumps are no better. The first one's lasted 30 years and the Bosch Brazil manufactured ones may make it 3-5 yrs?... Crazy ay

These are just one of the many benefits of the WTO that we are all now enjoying so much - 'and piggys fly'

Yeah, my Porsche Pump by BOSCH started to make noise after 2.25 years. Nice.

The funny thing about Walker is the sensor is made in Japan but the wiring is done here in the States or at least what I read so far, ergo the higher US labor cost. Heck, I gladly support the US work force, as long as it works or it is going back.

My BOSCH O2S is not locking at 14.7 or 1.00 volt. It is reading my car is rich and locking at 15.4-5 but my AFR verified by my ML2 shows 14.7s until I connect the O2S then locks it lean. Very strange.

Under load it fights to get to 14.7, closer to 14.9

Measured the O2S at 14.7, shows 0.93 volts, that can not be right. Producing High HC's at over 90PPM.

Hi Jim...It appears to me that the original Bosch equipment is far more superior than their replacement parts. I'm sure that any manufacture who uses Bosch would dump them if they were as bad their aftermarket items are proving to be.

I would suggest that you pickup a NTK Oxy sensor as they have a great reputation. The same goes for NGK plugs...That's what I use, and from now on in, it will be Beru distributor caps...As most already know, not all German products are 'better than'...e.g. A Blaaaajunkt vs say a Pioneer.

Thumbs up Thank You Shandria & Wayne! Eat Poop BOSCH!

Yeah, they should change their name to Botch

Good News Pelican just issued me a RMA for store credit. Credit is good, I will use that up in no time.

Thank you Lady Shandria at Customer Service, Wow working on a Sunday, Most Outstanding! Thanks Wayne for a Great Store Policy, almost old skool Nordstrom/Costco Policies. I just made it within 4 days of it expiration.

I will try the Walker Product Sensor and Report
