Test fitting bottom end question
Gang,
It's almost time to begin test fitting my bottom end to check deck height, etc... Do I use my new bearings to do this covered generously in moly-lube, or should I use my old hardly worn bearings for this test fit? If all looks good, I'll seal the case halves shortly thereafter...

Chris,
I'd just do the bottom end and then test fit the top end. If the deck height is too small there is nothing I would do to fix it inside the case. Of course if you are doing real experiments and would be changing rods based on the results, that would be different. go Chris go! Chris (the other one ![]() |

Well true...
My rods all measured in spec (weight, straight, length)... So the only thing I'd be changing would be the cylinder shims I guess... I'm entitled to a silly question every once in a while... Just wait untill I really get going, I'll certainly exceed my quota.
