Porsche Crest 77 911 Build Thread

I say build thread but the car is in pretty great shape. Just need some tweaking of a few items and maybe some upgrades. The motor was rebuilt last January and I picked the car a few days later.

77 911 S 2.7
9117202614

At an earlier point in the cars life the owner added the wide body kit.

I have some bump steer and my syncros seem to be out for 2nd gear. Granny shifting in 2nd has been the cure so far. I also have a few oil leaks but they've all been identified, just need time to drop the motor and remedy.

Great looking car! Interested to see what you modify or just fix.

Welcome! Nice car. The problem described with 2nd could be the shift bushing. They tend to disintegrate. Keep us posted with updates!

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I've already checked those.

Another issue I'm running into is my wheels. Right now the car has some pretty large spacers to get these to fit. I need to measure all my suspension components and figure out the correct size wheels I need.

Got "new" OE exhaust on the car. Last kit was welded on quite a bit and after a few a good go the guys at my local shop wouldn't make it seal. Besides that no new updates besides putting miles on it.

Got any pictures of the rear with the "new" exhaust? This beauty is super clean! I can see this getting featured in our newsletter possibly. Go to the link below and just copy and paste a link to this thread. You could win some cool stuff if we use it. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing what comes next for your 911 S.

Looks like I need some new front shocks (Koni) as well as tie rod ends.

Any parts I should also be upgrading besides the turbo tie rod ends while I have everything apart? Trying to create my shopping list so I can knock this out the first week of February.
