				front valance

Can anyone identify this Valance. It was on an 80 SC a friend bought. He removed it and installed a stock SC valance and wants to sell it but he and I( a 356er) are unsure how to describe it. My guess is it is an aftermarket 964 type Thanks Doug Last edited by dougdadmac; 08-31-2016 at 02:54 PM.. | ||

Sorry, can't ID it but your friend might have to pay someone to take it off his hands

Sorry, but the valence description is ugly, as in butt ugly. I don't think your friend will get any money for this. On a positive note, tell him to lose the sugar scoops and he has a gorgeous car. Few cars as nice as a Silber Porsche, IMO

He replaced it with a stock part and has no use for it. He was hoping I would tell him to put it in the trash. Looks like a knock off of a 964 front valance. If anyone near Detroit wants it I am positive he will let it go cheap or maybe free. He is a "design guy" who loves the look of Targas and we were lucky enough to find a very well cared for 80 that had been owned and babied for 23 years by an older gentleman. No not a perfect car but very nice with all the problem areas SCs have already addressed. Rebuilt trans, targa top, head studs, heads etc.

It looks like an after market valence from an early Honda Civic or the CRX. There were lots available for those particular cars and this looks to be one of them. Its not worth very much.

I think Automotion/Performance Products used to sell these aftermarket valances.

I agree with the crowd, its not really worth anything. Used to see them around a lot in the 80's. On the other hand, the clean lines of the no fog lamps front valance he put on the car looks great.
