3.2 Seat issue
Issue with the manual passenger seat....Took the car to be washed today and now the passenger seat will not recline past a 90 degree angle. It will lean forward, just not back past a 90 degree angle....Anyone ever had such a thing happen? Owned the car for 8 years and have done a full engine rebuild and this just flat out has me confused. Wanted to ask before I pull the seats out.......
Also anyone have any good contacts on upholstery places in or around the Atlanta area? |

There should be two levers, one for recline and the other for forward and back operation.
Pull the recline lever and push the seat back, if the cable/rod is off it's mechanism, this will cause a locked 90 degree position.

Removing the seats is a 15 minute job - if you have the correct tools.
.....1/4" ratchet wrench, 5mm allen socket, and a ball type 5mm allen head extension, a couple of extensions (3" and 6") Stick your finger under the track to catch the threaded plate. Bill K

Yeah I've removed the seats before....just didn't know if anyone had ever had this issue. It's just so weird that it will lean forward, yet not go past the 90's degree position to lean back. Especially after just being cleaned...I couldn't imagine a vacuum hose from some guy at the carwash causing this.

He probably thought the front lever was the slide and pulled it then pushed up on the seat back forward lever on the side, one or both are jammed.
Detailer did that to mine and I showed him which ones to use too
