I took the fronts off and they look as old as my '79 SC, I can also see the fox stamped on the inside. The rears however are freshly coated on the inside, but I do see stamps. Can somebody tell me if these are replica's, or originals freshened up.
The firs two pics are the rears, I don't want to be so naïve to think they are original, just because of the "Made in Germany" sticker. The third pic is from the front wheel. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for your help. |

The wheels look genuine to me. The center caps are different that what my car has.

Real. The triangle is the company's fox (fuchs) symbol.

Counterclockwise?

Playing the devils advocate here .....
It may be hard to find, but the fox should be there somewhere? There are a lot of replica 9's.

Sir I am afraid to tell you that .. yes ... they are fake ... but I have good news ... I would like to help you out by purchasing those 9" (fake) wheels ... just send me a picture of the fronts and you can make a couple of hundred bucks on this deal .... or we can trade my 6" real fuchs for your (fake) ones and call it a day ... come on what do you say!!

9" wheels were not available until 86 so they are not origional to your car, they are real Fuchs though. They are available new from Porsche and can be purchased for about $1400 each. |

I have genuine Fuchs that have the fox head, and later Fuchs that do not. Both have the triangle.
I've seen some fake Fuchs and it was really obvious, they were really heavy, much thicker around the openings and something about them didn't look right.

As per Puma posting.
The symbol shown is not the Otto Fuch symbol but the Porsche triangle symbol trademark found on all kinds of OE Factory parts. Fuch were supplying wheel. ![]() Here are the Otto Fuch logos through the years:

Wait, so that triangle means that they came from the Porsche factory (on a car presumably) and for that reason we know they are Fuchs without seeing the little fox logo?
