Post Throttle shaft maintenance (is there such a thing?)

My car has about 65K miles, and the MFI pump is out for servicing for a while so I thought I'd do anything useful while it's parked...

Do people grease the throttle shaft bushings/bearings and cross shaft? Would like to preserve these as long as possible of course. Stacks and bodies appear in good shape still.

Not all people do. You should while the parts are accessible. You might also check the bell crank bushings in the engine compartment and on the side of the gearbox. The factory nylon/plastic material is often toast. The aftermarket also provides replacement versions in bronze.

Those are all new already. I'm really talking about the bushings/bearings at the throttle plates and cross-shaft connecting the two intakes...

?

The MFI throttle assemblies do wear, just like carb throttle bodies. Contact the typical Weber carb rebuilders for service and maintenance info.

The cross shaft uses a ball/socket joint at each end. Reg. grease works here.

It seems my language isn't correct. What I mean is two things:

1. One, the throttle shaft bushings that would be where the shaft sits in the housing here:

Those seem not really feasible to lube as the gas would break it down quickly. But maybe there's some special grease, or the bosch grease I got for the control rods that is VERY sticky.

2. and Two, the cross-bar bearings:
