Front 1" Wheel Adapter

How does a 23mm(~1") wheel spacer work with the standard studs? I am putting C2 wheel on my 81 SC and have the rears worked out fine and was told that I need 1" adapters for the front. Won't the studs stick through the adapters? Do I need shorter studs?

the spacer is actualy not a spacer but an adapter, the adapter comes with open headed bolts that bolts the adapter to the car, the adapter has studs sticking out of it that bolts the wheel to the car, the turbo spacers have super long studs that you have to install in the hub, then the spacer slides on the studes then the wheel bolts to the studs, Kevin
