Question Another Valve adjustment question

Quick Question?

I just finished adjusting 1 and I rotated the engine 120 degrees. I noticed 6 was very tight and while I was under there I decided to see if the feeler gauge would slide into 4. It did -- why would the gauge slide into 4 120 degrees past TDC (Z1).

All help appreciated.

it will slide into a lot of other ones too, but that's not what you need to worry about, just the next one in the firing order.
