Yes, the bubble wrap you see in the picture was wrapped around the dash and they were placed in the box. It had plenty of room to move around. Box was undamaged in good condition.

How were the dashboards originally made? Is there a core or base that was covered or were they just "moulded" the way they are. What I mean is, the upper door garnish rail is a moulded piece, I believe, (as opposed to a base being covered) Is that how the dashboard is? Rich

Nice looking dash. Too bad about the damage. Almost looks like the vinyl was punctured.

Looking at the last picture of the speaker grille it seems that they still have issues with holes alignment.
Looks better than before but not fully straight or is it me? Can you pleas confirm based on the dashboard you received? Damien Quote:

Wow that's pretty disappointing, after waiting all that time. I feel for you. Have Lakewell been helpful at all? And, just to clarify, the dash would have been damaged PRIOR to being put in the box?
I've got my fingers crossed with my dash. I dealt with Carpoint to get mine, they were really good to deal with and had excellent communications. I paid by money transfer so that took a few days to clear (over a weekend) but my parts shipped yesterday and they are in North America already - scheduled delivery (to me in Canada) is Monday. It takes longer to get parts from California! Quote:

Well, good news, mine arrived tonight. It only took 36 hours to get to Winnipeg from Germany via Newark, NJ, Louisville, KY, and Minneapolis, MN. Pretty amazing. But then UPS Canada decided to sit on it for 5 days.
Not that I am really in that much of a hurry but I was anxious to see the goods. I am happy to report that it appears to be the same dash as the one being sold by Lakewell. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am also happy to report that the door tops and knee pads are also of great quality, and match the grain and sheen of the dash perfectly (obviously from the same manufacturer). This was not cheap. |
