*Help*. Side mirror mounting issue.. 911sc

It took us a day to drill a hole into body and this is how it sits and angle is horrible.

Previous owner told me that this car never came with right side mirror being 77 in Germany. Not sure if that is true .. Is it?

Has anyone experianced with this?
Please help me
I attatched photos as well
Thanks

I'll fire a pic of my 82 with factory flags when I get home.

Could be the mirror you are using has a 944 base.

Having gone through this before it's either the base or, gulp, the holes are in the wrong place. Or both.

Holes are in the wrong place.
Left and right mounting points are in different locations.

No. Wrong position. Positioned it with the hole dimensions of the driver's door.

20 years I have owned this 911 and I just found this out. Easy mistake. Bummer.

My front end is totaled - pay no attention to overlapping panels and the tape

Passenger side side view mirror installation........

For a left hand drive 911, below are the recommended locations of the mounting holes for flag mirror.

As said a few times, you put then at the same latitude.

On the driver side you are inches away from the mirror but when you look at the passenger side you are feet away from the mirror so it need to be in a different position to give you the same view.
