tow hooks
All,
I have an 87 911 with a (964?) wide body kit installed by PO. I've completed my first DE (tons of fun)! The last day(Sunday) was rainy, so the track was wet, me & car did OK-my opinion? I saw a couple car leave the track with one car needing a tow. My car does not have "bumper" tow hooks, I would like to install hooks at front & rear. I am requesting your recommendation & advise. I've attached a few pix so you see my car & offer your suggestions. Bumpers are fiberglass, drilling/ welding is not a problem. I have also posted this in the auto cross forum. Thanks in advance, Terry ![]() |

Rennline offers well made set up for tow hooks , including solid struts behind the bumpers.
Might be interesting with the mix of chassis and body parts. I think you will find they have what you need. Cheers Richard |

If it were me, I'd fab up, or have made, a 1/4" steel plate that bolts to the t-bar mounts and extends through the fog openings.
I've see this quite a lot at the track, so someone might be offering it on line. Sometjing like this :http://www.stableenergies.com/Brey-Krause-Rear-Tow-Hook-for-944-85-1_2-on/productinfo/BK-9036/ Nice bumper arrangement, don't mess it up. I have also seen cars pulled by the strut tower brace with the hood open. If you're going to more track events, installing one could be a win-win. I'm not necessarily recommending this, so proceed with caution. Bill K
