What and who makes a good touch up gun?

I'm going to shoot my Fuchs. No more spitting spray cans.
I don't want to use a typical spray gun and was thinking about a touch up gun. Who makes a good one?
Thanks !

Binks #115, I think I paid about $200. I painted the paddles on my Fuchs with paint I had left over when I got the car painted.

Iwata, Sata, Sharpe are good brands, among others. You get what you pay for. I am an amatuer, and I would not purchase the HVLP guns. They just don't seem to atomize the paint well. Maybe it is not atomization. We (brother and I) had more trouble with the HVLP and ended up using more paint than if we had just used a high quality conventional gun. To be fair, we were using a cheapy $200 Devilbiss HVLP gun.

Len at http://www.autobodystore.com is a great person and a fine vendor. If I were looking, I would go there first.

If you buy good paint (Wurth) the quality is comparable to professional quality. I intended to take my fuchs to the paint shop I use. He told me he was going to use Wurth paint anyway and just gave me a can. As long as the wheels are prepped good (no grease or debri) and the area is dust free, the results should be good.

I used satin finish Rustoleum, myself. Those wheels look great three years later. Of course I only use them in the salty Cincinnati winters.
