Noob here, Tire pressure? 1981 911 SC

I am a new SC owner, car currently has REAR245/45/16 94W Front 205/55/16

Do i use the reccomended tire pressure stamped on the car or is the pressure more in accordance with the tires?

Nice car Skoul! I've found 2-3 pounds under recommended pressures keeps tires from wearing out at center. Some will go over pressure for a tighter "feel." Think it boils down to personal pref. Suggest you test under / recommended / over pressures to see what works best for you. (Personally... I dislike tossing tires because they're worn out in the center.)

245 s are very hard to find in a 16 inch wheel now. Unless they are Toyo r888 or some other track tire they may be expired. My car came with "new" looking tires. Checked the date codes and they were fifteen years old. Check the dates.

Should be more of a "REQUIRES valve stem supports." I had one walk out at speed right after I got my car. Very "exciting".

Amazing how far out those armor clad tire valves will go. Usually, you can see a witness mark on the rim where the metal cap has touched.

Per Darin at WestSide Alignment. He recommends 4 lbs difference. So he filled mine to 31F 35R cold. Tires are wearing much better now and control is optimal.
