Got some cool stuff yesterday!

Quote:
PORSCHE Type 962/003 made of massive steel mounted on a made of massive steel mounted on a wooden board, dated 1999, c. 10kg heavy, 70x35cm, was presented to employees of the racing division
I think I've seen this before, in some photo somewhere, perhaps the office of someone at the factory. It wasn't unfamiliar to me, but I can't recall where I saw it?

Quote:
Steering wheel, with a diameter of 23 cm, was used in the Porsche 956 and 962, condition 1
We're going to be putting this on 962-112, which we're restoring in the UK right now. This car was one that was a "replacement" for a crashed 956, so this actually would be the correct wheel for it. My guy in the UK, Trevor, is very excited - he likes to get the details 100% correct.

Connecting rod of the Le Mans winner car 1983, Porsche 962 with put on Porsche coat of arms, was labeled on the back, 419 gram, rare
I have no idea if this is accurate or true, but it was about $200, and it's pretty darn cool, so I figured I'd take a chance on it!

Cool stuff, thought I would share my excitement!

In 2017, we're going to be doing a full inventory and cataloging of all of the nick-knack stuff I've acquired over the years. I like cool and unusual stuff - it doesn't have to be pricey (although sometimes it is). I have a bunch of really cool things that cost me no more than a buck or two, that when people see, they say "wow, I've never seen *that* before!"

Really cool finds indeed Wayne!
Not sure what massive steel is, but I love the 3D look of the mounted piece.

It's great that you share your goodies with us.
Any pics of the restoration going on in the U K.

Cheers Richard
