Help me test the new drag-and-drop picture upload routine...
Someone on the other thread requested drag-and-drop for picture uploading, and I agree, it's something that should be supported. Please test and let me know how it works. So far, it seems to work well on everything, although my iPhone 5 is having some trouble for some reason.

It basically works dropping multiple images with Firefox running No Script...
I say "Basically" because I dropped images into two "Click here to Upload a Photo..." windows and the image from the first drop window disappeared from preview after the 2nd drop even the the IMG code is still there. (See image HTTP locations at bottom...) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480324115.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480324209.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480324209.jpg ----------------------- 1st drop http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/962_body+mismatch1480324115.jpg 2nd drop http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/62_Lincoln1480324209.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/Empty_set1480324209.jpg |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480325333.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480325333.jpg See above, no good. Though I can see picture URL's. NOTE that I did something tricky. I actually tried with both a regular-sized file and a large size file, neither appear. BUt I can see the URL's when I edited this. |

Still no go. Only tried a regular size file this time. Not working. |
If the image is too big there appears a big X in the box. It looks like my mods may be causing the URL to copy even if it's too big?

not related to drag and drop but I get lines over the text I am typing. only when I do a long post and scroll down then back up
|
|
From some reason, when I drag and drop, it opens the picture on a completely new page. I am using google chrome, though

Here's one

|
Using Chrome on OSX, doesn't work. The image shows in the drop box ... doesn't resolve in the post.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480344837.jpg UPDATE: The image was greater than 2MB. I interpreted the X in the image thumbnail as a way to remove the picture before upload instead of an advisory that the image violated the rule. I resized to 50% quality, the check mark appeared for this image. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480345377.jpg |

Didn't work for me, running Win10/Firefox. The picture I loaded into the box appeared and had a check mark over it, but didn't appear when I posted. |

^ Worked like a charm for me!

This is great!!! I was having a hard time finding a decent image hosting site that didn't try to constantly spam me and trick me into clicking on pop-ups. |
Fixed the problem that Wayne pointed out with the spaces in the file name:

The new photo posting is great. Thanks for the upgrade Wayne.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480359435.JPG I am loving it. |

See message on file too big. I made the following changes: - Increased size limits on the files to be uploaded - Made the error message above a bit clearer - Only properly uploaded files (I hope) will have the URL placed in the underneath window - Added "old method" of uploading back into the bottom of the page in case there are problems with mobile, etc. -Wayne |
I think it worked once figured out.

Let me try again. Nope, no worky, on Windows 8.1, Firefox Browser. Opened Documents/File/911, grabbed pic to place here, just red circle with slash. |
It worked for me using Firefox with no issues. Once I clicked the "Click here to Upload a Photo" the box shows up, you just have to drag the pic and drop it in. :D
