Anyone running: 225/315 f/r 17" tires?

This combo seems to have limited options wrt tire choices...
Toyo Proxes R888...seem to be the only option available.

My car currently is a street car, but am slowly modding to go to track days with it...so would love to understand whether anyone is running anything else besides the R888s, and for those running the toyos, how are they?

yes. I have those sizes on my 930. currently the kuhmo exctsa (sp?) mounted.

the 888 is a very good tire but a bit on the ugly side as far as tread design...if that matters to you?

225/315 sounds like a recipe for understeer

255/315 is a much better balanced combo. I've used 225 a few times and they always under steer badly.

So..spent endless amount of time researching tires...it came down to either toyo r888 or nitto nt' s, either 01s, 05, or 555 g2...

Went and got the nitto nt05s.

Getting my ccw classics repainted this week and will then mount the tires.
