Geek question...you will be graded
Porsche made three single (maybe more) early crank pulleys...96, 116 and 126. I am fond of the 126mm pulleys (so if you have one or two, send me a PM) but wonder on what year engines were these stock? I know they fit 66mm and 70.4 cranks. I don't think the answer is in the tech books and Grady probably knew the answer to this, I just never had the sense to ask.

There is an old thread about early fan into later engine. It has the fan numbers in it. Almost all of the former and current heavy hitters posted in it.

pulleys....
Interesting...but I am asking about crank pulleys, not fan or fan pulleys. I think the thread on swapping fans dealt specifically with fans, and shrouds. From 1964-78 there were two single fan pulley sizes...I have those. I need the crank pulley info.

I think there is a link in it to the fan and crank pulley sizes and combinations.

Here Will Turbo fan give 123% air flow & fit 74 2.7 is one of the old threads.
Will grading be on a letter, numeric or pass/fail scale?

Grading...
I was too quick to judge Pat, you did well!
A+ in fact! 130mm pulley known to come from 76 2.7s to 79 3.0s. Good news...now I need a couple of these ![]() Speedo |
