What bits do I need for a 3.2 heat backdate

I want to do a heat backdate on a 3.2 Carrera.

I found this pic.

I need the left and right handside tin (the straight parts and the small squares with the holes in) Plus I need the left and right air ducts.

Does anyone have the partnumbers for these six items and will they bolt straight onto a 3.2 carrera.

For the left and right air ducts I need the left one to clear a 964 twin dizzy and the right to clear the sender unit

Many thanks fellas

Can anyone help?

So you're wanting to get rid of the extra blowers that are in the footwells and the engine compartment, or just the engine mounted blower?

Jcslocum 11-30-2016 05:31 AM

This is how I did it without buying any parts.

I dont have blowers in the footwell. I have a '74 car with a 3.2 engine in it.

pete917,

There are a couple of ways you can do this. I have a crossoverpipe on my heater system so that I only had to work one side:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1480528135.jpg

I also diverted all heat to the windscreen defrosters:

Thanks. I have a 964 twin distributor. Would that duct be OK to clear it. If so do you have the part number for the air duct so I can look for it.

I used the Porsche duct P/N 930.106.321.02 on the distributor side. What diameter is your distributor cap with wires? Mine was a very tight fit and the duct had to be bent to clear the cam oil lines.

To go the dual sided route I found this list on another website a while ago:

Following is a list of parts, prices may be out of date now:

Left hot air duct, 930.106.321.02, list $148.20
4 plastic nuts, 999.591.592.40, list $.12 each
2 rubber plugs, 999.703.044.50, list $.77 each
Right hot air duct, 911.106.327.00, list $53.45
Right engine cover plate, 911.106.036.00, list $14.89
Right engine cover, 911.106.827.00, list $5.04
Right air duct support, 911.106.331.00, list $1.30

Im not sure on my dizzy diameter. Im not hear my car so will measure it later and report back. The second dizzy covers the hole in the tinware where your pic shows the orange pipe going through. So I would have to go for the side tinware wit holes for the pass through.
