Pre muffler question
I believe I have an m&k pre muffler...bought it here used. The one I took off looks to be cheaply made. I noticed my new one has a larger diameter round pipe compared to the one I removed. ~57mm compared to ~49mm of the cross over pipe coming off the car. '85 ROW carrera.
I did a test fit and everything lines up...better than what I had. Do I need to worry about the difference in pipe diameter? Thanks.

You should be fine, if cross over is OEM. Just remember not to over torque the bolts/nuts. Spec is 18 ft lbs or you will warp the flanges and cause a leak. Use new gaskets.
