fresh air blower vs a/c blower

Hi guys,
This is probably a dumb question, sorry. On my 84 I replaced the motor on the a/c blower. Is the fresh air blower completely separate? I know there are two different control switches. My car is covered up right now.
Thanks,
Dave

Sorry, I just cracked a book, and I see there is an evaporator blower (a/c blower) and a separate fresh air blower. I actually replaced both. Funny how you forget these things.

I suspect the 911 is the only car ever to have a totally separate system for the heater, the AC and the fresh air. Either of them can run on their own, or all at once.

And, there is a condenser blower in the A/C system also. It is in the very front of the front trunk inside a black, plastic fan housing next to the battery.

And, there are the (2) footwell blowers in addition to the main heater blower.....
