DIY Video Series - How To Install a 917 Replica Shift Knob
Morning Pelicans!
![]() As some of you know, we have been working to beef up our tech video series on our YouTube channel. The newest addition to the channel is how to install the Handmade 917 Replica Shift Knobs that we have available in the catalog. Porsche used a lightweight wooden shift knob in some of their most iconic race cars and the look and feel is something most enthusiasts have aspired to attain in their own garage ever since. Each of these entirely handmade shift knobs (no CNC machines!) are unique in style and feature a rubbed oil and polished finish with a metal insert that will allow you to use the original crush sleeve for an easy installation process. Be sure to check out the video below to watch how easy it is to install one on your P car. If you haven't been keeping up on our 12 days of Christmas sale (click here), be sure to head on over to the link below to get 17% off your purchase on one (or more) of these knobs. Don't procrastinate because this offer is only available today. Let me know if you have any questions! Offer extended through December 17th! Not to be a knit picker, but some people will have very old shift knobs that can be worth a pretty penny. You might want to try an easier method first, like brut strength. If that fails I would then wrap the wrench end with something so it dampens the stress when you hit it with a hammer.
