DIY Video Series - How To Install a 917 Replica Shift Knob

Morning Pelicans!

As some of you know, we have been working to beef up our tech video series on our YouTube channel. The newest addition to the channel is how to install the Handmade 917 Replica Shift Knobs that we have available in the catalog. Porsche used a lightweight wooden shift knob in some of their most iconic race cars and the look and feel is something most enthusiasts have aspired to attain in their own garage ever since. Each of these entirely handmade shift knobs (no CNC machines!) are unique in style and feature a rubbed oil and polished finish with a metal insert that will allow you to use the original crush sleeve for an easy installation process. Be sure to check out the video below to watch how easy it is to install one on your P car. If you haven't been keeping up on our 12 days of Christmas sale (click here), be sure to head on over to the link below to get 17% off your purchase on one (or more) of these knobs. Don't procrastinate because this offer is only available today. Let me know if you have any questions!

Offer extended through December 17th!

Not to be a knit picker, but some people will have very old shift knobs that can be worth a pretty penny. You might want to try an easier method first, like brut strength. If that fails I would then wrap the wrench end with something so it dampens the stress when you hit it with a hammer.

All good suggestions, thank you for your input! As a note, no shift knobs were hurt in the making of this video.

Bump guys! We have extended this offer through December 17! Let me know if any of you have questions.

Someone did ask this question and I wanted to share the answer with you all just in case there are a few others with the same question:

Luccia, I want one badly but will they work with the shift knob type that has the retaining screw?
Hello! Great question. Since these knobs are made to order I have been told that all the knobs can be made to fit any transmission Porsche makes. So, I have a few suggestions so that we can get you the knob that works with yours. You can shoot me a PM with your email or phone number so I can have one of our P car sales specialist put the order in to make sure you get the correct one or please be very specific about the retaining screw and needing a knob that works with your shifter in the comments section of your order when you place it.
