Power Window Issues

Need some suggestions as to potential the root cause of the issue that I am having with the window switches.

The central locking on the drivers side door went bad. Replaced the $4 connector, which addressed the issue. Put the door panel back in place and connected the drivers side window switch. Tested it and it worked fine. Wired up the passenger side window switch ( on the driver's door), tested it and did not work. Realized that I had wired it back incorrectly. Repeated the wiring process, correctly this time and when I tested the passenger switch, nothing happened. Tried the drivers switch and that is now also dead. On top of that, the sunroof is now dead too.

Checked the 25A fuse and that is OK. Replaced the window/sunroof relay unit (behind the instrument cluster), but did not fix the issue.

Is there another fuse besides the 25A in the hood that I should check?
I checked all the fuses (Hood & trunk ) and they are all OK.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Spin the fuses....check the relay. Put a test lamp on the outlet side of the fuse panel and the switches. Somewhere the power is shorted or not connected right....

Just had the same type of issue in my 86...turned out the relay behind the fuel gauge was bad...not sure what year your car is but might be the issue...

I think Joe Bob and freeform have you on the right track. Check the power window relay.

Thank you for al the suggestions. It turned out to be the 25A fuse after all, coupled with bad connectors at the fuse post. Everything works fine now on my '87 Carrera.

The fuse panel on my 83 SC was a constant source of irritation. The replacement with the one offered by our host cured all issues. Not cheap or a plug in fix but well worth it.
