I hear what you guys are saying. I think I loaded it this way because I found it with the leg of the spring resting on the standoff in the background of my picture. So it made sense to load it by simply rotating the spring back and of course "pinning" it by placing the leg of the spring ahead of the DIY stud & nut creation. I recall fiddling around with the orientation of the spring and it seemed like it wouldn't work if I flipped the spring over???

Mine is definitely sprung in the down position and the window works OK.

Plus I don't wanna take it apart again because I did a killer job of installing the new water barrier with butyl rope sealant. Man, this is really gonna nag at me now.



Story of my life lately. Every thing I do I seem to have to do it at least twice. A sign i'm getting too old for this chit?
