correct oil cooler for '77 C3

Having purchased a Carrera 3.0 with a 2.7 installed, I am uncertain what the car would have had from the factory. It seems as if there was never an oil cooler installed. And i cant imagine anybody removing it when the engine swap was made.

Anyhow, I sourced a proper engine for the car and am in the process of deciding what type of oil cooler to install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All '76/77 C3 would have come w/ a 'trombone' cooler. These were adequate for most street use but less so in track use. Unless you are striving for an exact reproduction i'd recommend either the 14 tube from early Carrera 3.2 or better the later 3.2 Carrera radiator style w/ fan and shield

I would think too, you could just buy the correct part have it on hand but install the later/better oil cooler since it preforms better.

Just putting the correct motor in the car is going a long way to making it correct.

Is this a concours car? No? then install the 3.2 Carrera radiator style w/ fan and shield as Bill said.

Florida is hot. Going to need it for any summer driving.

Fan switch.

Along with a 210f fan switch.

I'm more of a fan of a manual overide switch....but it's his car.
