The bumper welting is Porsche part # 999 911 205 40 and is '76-80 930 bumper welting. It comes in 5m rolls, 1 will do both ends of the car.

The bumper I bought from BW has tabs at the bottom of the foglamp cutouts, looks like they could use some reinforcement to me. No tabs for a grille - you'd need to fabricate some vertical bars to mount a rear deck grille.

OK I don't know if this has been asked but since I'm new I'll ask a dumb question. Is RUF pronounced "Roof" or is it "Rough"?

And for those front splitters I seem to remember someone using reinforced rubber like the stuff used to make conveyor belts on a different car. Not sure where you'd pick that stuff up, maybe someplace like Grainger's?

ROOF...

Farm supply stores will have them (don't know if you have them in fancy Californi)...and yes Grainger or McMaster-Carr will have them too.

It's not a high priority project, but I'm going to make a spliter out of f-glass to bolt to my front bumper. Once I make the first one, I should be able to make copies easy enough myself or send them to BW Motorsport for replication....

That looks amazingly like my garage, Souk - Black Carrera, grey primered Ruf bumpers on the floor! My installations will be delayed even more now - I'm going to do the suspension and brakes first.

Heh heh...I'm aiming for a June rebirth for the Fat Bastard, Dave. It's going to be tight given all the projects, but I promise to make Tweek Fest (or what ever it's call these days). So I'll make good on the promise I made a year ago to show up I may have Heather drive the BTR-esque Fat Bastard and I'll drive the Original Recipe Bastard to the Fest.....crossing my fingers.

Here's my front (still waiting to do the back, has anyone used rennspd fglass?)

And speaking of splitters... Has anyone thought of splitters like an older "s" ?

I always liked the S bumper and the Ruf bumper. Why not mix the best of the oldies and the midyears?

PS: I am also looking for a source of billet/chrome grills like Fishcop's 911 has on the rear decklid. Can anyone think of one?

Just a very very preliminary feeler....

Who would be interested in poly-urethane Yellow Bird bumpers?

I'll know soon. But I expect it to be a bit more than the f-glass version. Which is reasonable given the advantage of the urethane version. We're also looking into other urethane products.

I would be interested in a urethane copy of the narrow body Ruf front spoiler. I've tried several times to pin down the actual Ruf bumpers from Weisach, but I get conflicting information that they only make this in turbo sizes. They would show a bumpers on their website, but I think is is NLA. I've seen the Original Ruf bumper on a turbo and it is very sturdy.
