Ruf-Look Cab

It's not a real ruf though. It's got 2 or 3 more hp than the real thing...

This CTR replica makes a LOT MORE than the original Yellow Bird

And if the Excellence article can be used for comparison...this one is also a lot more street friendly.

Great thread and I really like the BW product Bill displays but I too can find no web site for this business. The Excellence directory doesn’t even have one. I don't know about you guys but who isn't wary of a provider who in 2006 doesn’t have a web site. I mean come on it is more vital to business that a phone number or even a mailing addresses. I would be very interested in possibly buying there product but w/o a web site????? Anyone else find this really odd if not worrisome?

You should not let BW's lack of a web site undermind the quality of the parts.

We have been selling BW Motorsports' CTR bumpers for some time now. I assure you that the quality of the parts is tops in the industry.

The parts come prepped and primered, like you see in this picture from our web site.

Edit: picture link doesn't seem to be working...see next post.

Ditto to everything Souk said. Brad is just a low key kind of guy. His shop is 30 minutes from me - want me to drive over and confirm that he's there?

Brad is working on launching the website as we speak. It will be running in the near future.

Derick,

Your car looks awesome. 2 or 3 hp.? This car looks like it got over 500hp. Where did you get the front spoiler? I am thinking doing the same thing.

Compare that to Restoration Design that has a website, but never answers their phone or returns calls. I'd take Brad's approach any day.

Motormeister has a great website too...

Brad has a pretty good reputation among the folks I know and I wouldnt hesitate at all to buy from him (or his stuff via Souk).

I am not saying the product isnt top notch it is actually the quality of of the product that left me wondering how they could have no web site. I said a web site is more important than a phone or a mailing address b/c look at the thousands of small business that only exist on ebay, you see the item, pay on the site w/ credit card, the sellers mails it to you. No phone no mailing address but still getting paid.........

I was being a smartass. It's a bit of a sleeper. Actually has closer to 600hp. That's not a typo. This thing is just insane.

Built by stephenPHD at imagineauto. It's got everything - Ruf 3.4L P&Cs, bully rebuilt bottom-end, ported, polished heads, wild cams, 3.2L intake, full autronic EFI, K27HF2 turbo, custom Kokeln I/C, etc. etc. etc.

The build sheet was like 4 pages long...

I've got a dyno sheet showing 485 at the rear wheels!!!!

It needs some stiffening though, as the cab tends to squirm when I open the can of whoopa$$$.

I'm working on it. Probably some welded door bars.

Anyway, it's fun (may be the understatement of the year). There's a lot more info on it over on the "other" porsche website (rennlist).

My rear valance/bumper was from Brad and was high quality (for fibreglass, which pretty much all fits more or less like socks on a chicken )

Front valance/bumper I got used. Not sure the manufacturer.

Ok fellow Ruf converters, I need some advice. This weekend I'll be cutting up a stock SC engine lid grille to fit the openings in my front Ruf bumper.

Do you guys have any tips or suggestions for the actual grille cutting? Should I use a dremel, jig-saw, something else?

Do I need two grills to cover the center opening and fog light openings, or can I cut carefully and get all these pieces out of one grille?

Thanks for the help,
-Scott
