Damon of Series 900 can reproduce new shrouds. He does all colors and has produced them for Porsche for a restoration. https://series900.wordpress.com https://series900.wordpress.com

One more thing. The Ruf shroud is painted so getting a new one is optional. You can re-paint the one you have. The Series 900 shrouds are made "in color". If it's red, it's red all the way through and the same holds true for all colors. BTW: Guards Red paint is not correct for any "red" fan shroud if anyone goes that route. Early '67-'68-S were more burgundy than red and the '69 on shrouds are red-orange. The red below the shroud illustrates the differences.

Excellent build! I'm sure most of us here would love to own a true RUF, but that's just wishful thinking for most! In case you're looking for final touches, check out our newly revamped Accessories section for your DIY needs....keep those pictures coming though! -Dmitry

I have some space in the front of a project car that I need to cover up but unfortunately, eBay wasn't too helpful - hence me coming to you guys for help! Does anyone know of a source that I can order the plastic grill insert that is commonly used in the Ruf style front spoilers, such as the center one illustrated in this pic? I have searched high and low, but can only find diamond/hexagonal/circular patterns, rather than a horizontal and understated + classic looking grill insert. Your help is very much appreciated!

Those are usually made from the Carrera rear deck grilles. They're plastic and cut like butter. You just have to fabricate a couple of mounting bars.

Looking back to several pages of this thread, I don't see any posts on internal bumper supports. Is this a concern when taking out the original 911 bumpers and adding on the Fiberglass Bumper Covers?

The fiberglass bumpers are a do-it-yourself figure out how to attach them. Do a search on the forum and you'll see all sorts of methods people have come up with to fasten them to the car. What that means is the fiberglass basically forgoes any crash protection and therefore an impact is going to get transferred directly to the chassis wherever the point of impact is at. That said, these cars get bent pretty good in a crash, even with the original bumpers in place Folks have made their own "nerf bars" from scratch to provide some semblance of structure behind the fiberglass. But it's still a far cry from the original design. And the original design isn't exactly super high tech, which is rather caveman- like compared to the crash protection of more modern cars. Even the 964 body is leaps and bounds ahead of the old 911 crash worthiness.
