Work looks great Jon, I can't wait to see them the next time I'm up there, maybe tomorrow! :)

Man, I can practically see how bad ass these cars are going to be when they are done.

How are the 3.5 motors going to be set up? Carbs? Twin plug too I would guess?

jjeffries 04-13-2017 02:44 PM

Jon, how is Sarge doing? John in CT

omgjon 04-13-2017 06:15 PM

Sarge is still coming to work and sitting in the cars!!! The motor will be a 3.5 twinplug about 350 horsepower EFI

Body is all steel or aluminum construction. There will be no fiberglass.

I used 930 flares for the rear, that i got from SSF. They will be re-profiled a bit to RSR style. The fronts are RSR flares that I got from AASE

merbesfield 04-13-2017 08:44 PM

What is SSF?

Massaging the original bumper into an RSR bumper. I'm not a big fan of fiberglass.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1492562222.jpg

Was up to see Jon again today, his metal work is fantastic and he's an incredibly nice guy also. :)

I can't wait to see these when they are done!!

Harpo 04-19-2017 02:25 AM

Very impressive metal work going on here

I like the no fiberglass choice. Bodywork is looking pretty good so far! As far as color - what type of unique color choice are you thinking? Something more vibrant like the viper green or golf blue you mentioned or maybe something more muted? What are you thinking for interior?

Wow. You REALLY hate fibreglass ;)
Do you plan something similar for a steel ducktail?
Looking awesome, great work.

Jeff.

Colors are still up in the air. Seat will either be tartan or houndstooth.

The ducktail as well as the hood will be all aluminum.

Very nice. Does someone make an aluminium duck tail or are you guys fabricating it? I am keen to see the results either way. Watching with interest.
