So Ive been having issues now with all readings being 60+ psi and when Id start the car it would cut off so I figured there was a block somewhere.
I am going to remove all of the schrader valves and see if that helps. |
Really struggling here....
I pulled all of the schrader valves and I did that and now there is no pressure reading at all. I bought a 2nd kit thinking there was something wrong with the tester and before the first use removed all of the valves. After bleeding the air out, same thing, no reading on the gauge. Even with the T closed. Now I removed the bleeder block and hoses from the T on the tester and connected the gauge directly to the T but I only get a reading of only 18 PSI with the valve closed. However when I then open the ball valve, I am not getting gas out of the other end. Its odd because the first time I ran the tests, with exception of the pressure with the WUR plugged back in and the car started, all of the pressure readings were right on. This is not making any sense. |
UPDATE:
In putting a few of the schrader valves back (lightly screwed back) in to the T to the gauge and one back in the fitting to the WUR I was able to obtain a few readings. Cold control pressure was showing 21 psi and system seems low at 50 psi. I am not sure how guys are using the HF kit without the schrader valves in. |
Latest update.
Put everything back together and still have the same symptom. The car will start run for ~1min and die. I can not restart it just by turning the key, but she will start when I feather the gas pedal. If I take my foot off the gas, she will die again. She will run with light pressure on the gas and I hold an idle at 1k rpm, but as soon as I take my foot off, she dies. Heres the min long video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3Mqqd4MIXA |

It really sounds like as it warms up, the wcp is too high and you are not getting enough fuel. It seems to just slowly get less and less fuel until it dies.
Not sure how to help you with your pressure test issues. On my HF tester, the lining of the hose came apart and blocked the lines, so maybe your tester is faulty. Also, I had to remove the schrader valves to get it to work, so solve your tester issues first, then once you get good readings, let us know the system pressure, ccp and wcp. An AFR gauge will help here too, because you will probably see it getting too lean (or maybe too righ??) as the idle slows down and it dies. Then you will at least know which way your pressures are going awry. |
sistem pressure @ 90 psi. The cold control fuel pressure at 70°F (20°C) was 35 psi. Spec @ 20°C is 25 psi.~30 psi. The warm control fuel pressure was 54 psi. Spec for WCP is 50.7 psi.-~56.6 psi. The boost @ 0.6 bar gives you 40 psi.
