can changing motor mounts mess up alignment???
changed my motor mounts and tranny mounts... put the car back together, set her back on the ground and noticed my gt3 exhaust doesn't line up below the license plate, and the rear wheels don't have the same fender clearance .... does anyone know what has happened??? thanks Anthony

How was it raised? Jack points? Or torsion bar. Any rust? Have you driven it to settle suspension?

Drive the car. Settle suspension. Take a look. I suspect the wheel well stuff will clear as 911obgyn states. Bruce Anderson noted to loosen trans and engine mounts at the same time, to loosen up the lump. Then re-tighten. Engine assy can get wonked when you tweak with a jack not raising engine symetrically. The thing I never understood about his thoughts were what happens. Maybe just some binding shakes free?

As Bob says, 'tis good to put your ride info in your signature so we know what the hell your talking about to offer appropriate advice.
But I have no advice except for your ride height. It'll likely settle after you drive the car a little.

Is this the single in M&K? It's easy to have it get a little misaligned. Brian even says that it takes some finesse to get it lined up right. Maybe it just got bumped?
If it's dual in, then I'd worry a bit. -Steve

Settle it with a drive first. Don't disregard the loosening all four mounts then re-tighten. I gotta think you can balance the eng/trans assy with a floor jack with the car elevated at all four corners. I can't vouch for this but if The Bruce says it, there is something to it. Let me see if I can find his passage and post it. (Lemmie get this to you first) He did not state this to rectify physical alignment issues, I think it had to do with shifting issues. Binding and such. Can the exhaust be adjusted at the lower engine harness? Does it have the strap thingies? Has to have some tweakage there but then if you get into it deeply you will be taking gaskets off the mating points. Not at the heads, at the muffler join with the headers.

tranny mounts have NO effect on wheels or suspension alignment.
as far as exhaust, are you talking left to right or front to back as in it does not stick out as much. I don't remember on the 911 but my 930 has 2 sets of holes for the tranny bolts. how was it bolting everything back up. the engine mount bar line up ok and the tranny bolts line up ok.
