How are the speaker wires run from the door to the chassis?
Hello, I am installing speakers in an early longhood car that has no stereo. Can someone show me how the factory ran wires?

alright crabby pants... if you have power windows or mirrors id look to glob onto that harness set route. with no need to have a speaker wire fittings if you work from the door back with a fish tape tie wire set up you should be able to pull the wire thru door and body rubber grommets with care. needle nose pliers and some electrical tape to smooth the wire fish tape should be fun to do.
hope that helps.

I'm not crabby at all bro. It's just an utterly cliché thing to say whenever anybody brings up any sort of audio system in a Porsche. Thank you for the info. Ideally, I'd love someone to share a few pictures so I can see proper routing. They didn't have anything electric in 1969.

all right then. can you do something Bluetooth like? might be simpler.
if not you will have to drill out of the door where it's best to drill in the jam to get inside cabin. McMaster-carr probably has some accordion type rubber conduit you could run the wires between the door & jam. but who's gunna drill new holes in a 69? not me.

In some early years they ran power windows through grommets in the door and 6 pin connectors in the jambs up high on the inner fender and door.
Small grommets in the door and inner fender would likely be the best way. May even be some depressions in the sheet metal where the factory connectors would go. 1/4" vinyl sheathing to cover the wires.

Don't know if you're doing a "correct" restoration or installation on your car, but might like using speaker wire that's not visible. Something like this might also be an option. You'd have the speaker connectivity but no visible wires when the door is open.

69 was a year full of transitions and oddities, so I'm not sure, but later cars have several grommets on the door and on the door jamb. These can be accessed with the door in place but it's a hassle. I know your car is having some paint work done, so now is a good time to figure this out.
Here are some photos of what you are up against. Pics from inside front fender and door

Maybe I am misunderstanding your question but, the factory didn't run wires from the chassis into the doors on early cars. At least not for speakers. The factory speaker is in the dash (yes, speaker, singular). Any installation you do would need to follow a later year example. Typical factory installation is to use an accordion style grommet with the wires internal to it.

You found a good pic. Notice that the door has been removed. I was able to run wires through one of my doors using a hangar, etc. Not easy to fit grommets in etc with the door on the car. For my other door, it was a replacement (from a '66?) which had no holes to route it, so I had to remove the door to drill a hole. Sorry, I didn't take any pics of my install though.

Good luck. On my door it was tight enough that I could barely get my hand in there...let alone a drill bit.
