135 miles!!!!!

89 Turbo Slantnose Cabrio

Yikes. What price is this thing gonna end up seeing?

135 miles is just absurd. That 5spd. G50 (God they're great) is what makes it so desirable, right?

Man that thing just screams "Miami Vice". How about this one in black 88 Slantnose.
Personally I don't care for the look but the factory delivered cars are very rare.

Someone should buy it and make it a daily driver and pick up hardware with it.

The crest on the steering wheel looks silly. Either place it in the middle or remove it.

As mentioned the engine gaskets may be a potential problem.

Personally I prefer the "frog eyes" instead of that Miami Vice look

A friend of mine sold his 89 slant TC last fall for something in the mid 60's. It was a beautiful sunny day ride, near perfect car with 25k on the clock. And it had the usual turbo upgrades plus the originals in boxes.

Here's another one and another one!!!!!

88 "Slope"

88 Targa "Slope"

87 Burnt Orange

What's the deal with all the slopeys for sale?

Bad economy making everybody dump their garage queens????

I agree that 135 mile is crazy. That low mileage can't be good for the car.

Anybody who buys that thing and drives it too much is basically taking money and flushing it down the toilet, no? Kind of a shame.

If you were in the market for that sort of machine is would be fun to insist that the seller include some snow chains as part of the deal.

Looks like he's got a 63 split window coupe vette in there too. I wouldn't worry too much about seals, I bet he ran it regularly and it's running in one of the pictures...

Still, what's the point of owning that car? Just to show it off to the visitors that come by once?

Buy a nice painting as art, not a car!

Damn I wish I had the money. I'd insist on picking it up on a rainy day. Can you imagine the guys face as you dropped the clutch with 4K on the tach in the rain as you snaked out his driveway!

Seals what seals?

Probably kept the car as an investment...some figured the flatnose would become as coveted as an RS is now. Risky business.

I wouldn't mind paying original sticker price for it. Well, that's what he said: Original sticker is included, didn't he.

Having seen KTL's statement I might have to back out of my offer, hm?

I also ran across a couple of 964 slantnose turbos for sale while dorking around in my search of absolutely nothing............

94 Black Turbo S

94 Red Turbo S

The second one there (gotta scroll way down to the bottom) was supposedly an order for Michael Jordan but he backed out (Oooooh BFD!!!)

Ha. Get this. The first ad says 28 of 'em were built. The second says 37. So, who's right????? Anyway, these things went for $160K when new. That's even crazier!!!!

These Turbo Slantnose thingys are a whole different animal. Seems like it's all about the bling to show just how fat is your wallet.

On another note, I wonder how many hours the engine has ??

I know a guy who does not drive his ClubSport for similar reasons. But he fires up the engine a couple of times every week.

I question if an engine that does not come up to temperature for at least 1 hour would not suffer more from this practice over the years.

I think this version is even more hideous. A low point in Porsche styling. This designer must have been commissioned for the cayanne!

I think many of you don't realize the mentality of the ultra wealthy ( or better stated the consistancy there of). Believe it or not people buy these cars as works of art, just one more thing of beauty in their collection. They think no more of it than you did when you paid $3 for that mint condition Namath rooky card when you were 11 years old. Everything is relative.

Take a close look at the car in the background. I think he's got a mate for the white one. Before I bid though, what are Members-Only jackets bringing on ebay.

Jeremy...before designing the car you posted, he went to work for GM...part of the Aztec design team...
