Split Second Controllers / MAF?

I apologize for continuing to pester, but . . .

I am thoroughly confused on how to control my engine after it has been supercharged. I could get a custom chip, but that prevents on-the-fly modifications, a full blown controller (MoTec, SDS, Electromotive, etc.) a piggy-back unit (UniChip or Split Second) or mechanical control (MSD Ignition controller + Fuel Pressure Riser (bell engineering)).

I am not looking for ultra fine-tuning, but full control over timing and fuel to give me a margin of safety while tuning for good power (both delivery and ultimate level).

The Chip is still an option thanks to Steve Wong; SDS is very tempting because of its cost (cheaper to twin plug with their system than to twin plug then add a controller); Split Second Products are very reasonable and offer much of the tuning capability I am looking for; and The mechanical could meet my goals but not completely and are relatively expensive when the whole system is put together.

I was looking at the Split Second unit, it looks tempting, allowing ignition and fuel control plus mass air for reasonable $. For point of reference I am trying to keep the twin plug & engine managment to ~$2-3k.

If anyone has any other thoughts, it would be appreciated . . .
