Drilling access hole under seat rails
Installed my XDi2 unit in the cabin and wanted to place it under the passenger seat. I can route the wires through an empty access hole on the lower right. However, I wanted to drill a hole for the wires to pass through, but I feel like Im blind in the tunnel where the ebrak and seat belts are. There are brake lines and the through body harness running through.
Ideas of where I can safely cut a hole out under the seats? Here is a pic of where Id like the cut a hole, right after the carpet ends. And another pic of how the harness will route through. ![]() ![]()

Go to bitzracing dot com and read the installation manual.
It gives the measurements for routing the wires for under seat installation.

Nice. It states to center the hole 7/8" up from the floor, but not how in which direction towards the front or back of the car.
I will check with a mirror and start with a small drill and keep checking...

Which hole are you referring to? The 7/8" up from floor is for the side of the tunnel in the logical location to route the wires in an easy bend to where you mount your XDI unit.
As far as drilling a hole at the back to go to the engine compartment from the tunnel, with the coupler access plate off and a mirror you should be able to see a logical place to drill.

Ive got access to the engine compartment with no problems.
I was more worried along which part of the tunnel by the seatbelts, not sure how and in which direction the cables start to move around. I'll just drill up as they stated and check with a mirror.
