SC suun roof seal replacement
I've just received a new (front) sun roof seal for my SC without any instructions.
Is the new seal held in place with a simple adhesive, such as contact cement or is there a more elaborate way of doing this? Thx, Hugh |

contact cement. Half the seal is attached to the roof of the car the other half to the moving sunroof. lots of info on the board here.

Thanks Chris. I did a bit more searching and saw where a 3M product was recommended, so I may go that way.
The old seal (attached to the body) pulled off quite easily and I don't think contact cement would have been that easy but I think it (contact cement) would give a more secure bond. I may initially try the 3M product but if I'm not happy I'll try contact cement. Hugh |

Use the 3M stuff sparingly, let it dry and wipe off any excess immediately, it's easily removed with alcohol.

Prep the surface super clean or the best adhesive will fail. There's a technique for cutting the internal rubber of the seal at the dive downs. Got to get this right so the front and rear seal meet nicely.
