Maxilite vs Euromeister

OK, been seeing many diffewrent opinions on which of these aftermarket
Fuchs replicas are best-just about to buy a set of either but need some real feedback
by someone who's owned a set of Maxilite Fuchs type-pros and cons?

thanks

Nevis, don't know much about the Maxilites although their website seems to show 15's and 16 inch only. If you have already 16's then I'm not sure why getting them, also they are expensive! The Euromeister, you have the option to move up to 17's which is what most do, in order to get more tire choices. Plus the Euro's are less expensive in comparison to the Maxilites. I went Euro's in order to get the tire choices and they look really good, but it is your car and your $. Anyway good luck!

Are the maxilite wheels cast or forged?

I believe they're cast-all aluminum

priced a little higher than the Euromeister and made in Switzerland it seems...

I have used Maxilites on a couple of SWB Cars as they make a 7 x 15 with ET47 which is similar to a 911R Wheel.

They are painted incorrectly but they balance well and the first set we used were fitted 3 years ago and they are still clean and have not deteriorated.

They seem well made and have a TUV Certificate.

They are lighter than the Euromeister and here in the UK the price isn't bad.

All the Euromeister (including mine) seem great. our host ant Automotion both put them on sale often, and they are hard to pass up at those prices.

I agree with Duc Hunter, the price on the Euromeister in comparison to similar wheels is so far the best out there. You can get yourself a set of wheels and tires for less than most other brand of replica wheels. Plus the Euromeister do look the most accurate even at 17 inch diameter.

I owned a fresh set of 16s Maxilite in 7 & 8 from their actual production.
such a set is aprox eur 1000... a similar set of Fuchs is 3000,-
in Germany.

they are well made, balance very well, the diamont cut fisch is only close to the eye different from an anodized finish.
only prob was, that the centerhole ist too narrow so the oem caps will not fit without grinding the diameter.

thanks to all for the comments and feedback !

these whaeels look and, by all the people who've owned them, seem to ba a good value, and
are about the same weight as the original Fuchs. The German TUV rating is a plus.

I'm going to order a set of 16s in the next couple weeks from their distribution center
in Florida- I'll post some updates aafter I mount them.

You can still find them through "Automotion" but they will be coming from the UK if you want them new. Or do a search on the classifieds here on Pelican, sometimes you can find someone who is selling a set. Good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rosepassion is the company that bought Automotion and is now the main distributor of Euromeisters. The price definitely has gone up, and they aren't as affordable as they once were.

FYI, Fuchs has begun producing new forged wheels again in the original 16" sizes.

They run about $650 each. I should be getting one here in a week or two.

Did you get the 16" or the 17"? To me, the 17" look different than the 16" design-wise. I'm excited to see how your wheels turn out.

I bought the Euromeisters when they were cheap (under $1K for four, IIRC). I'm pretty happy. To my eye, they look considerably more like Fuchs than the others. Except Fuchs. Fuchs look even more like Fuchs than Euromeisters do. Go figure.

16" to replace one of the car's original wheels that I broke in 2009. Been running around with a mismatch ever since. It'll only run me about $150 to have the center painted white.

Like "Ok Here we Go" just said, Rose Passion bought Automotion but my old link still works. Anyway just go to "rosepassion" and check them out. The prices have gone up that is for sure, especially since they are in the UK so shipping will be applied to the order.
