Post Stuff to Send Leland.

For your awarness, Gentlemen:
I'm going to send him:
Last months (current issue?) Excellence. The "Evo" mag with the 911 over the years review.
911 and Porsche World with a used SC feature, and a few UK Classic car mags.

Just so we don't double up on stuff.
Cheers....

I was thinking of completely offending his hosts by sending a bag of pork rinds, a bottle of scotch and a Hustler.

You know, this a good idea, so we don't duplicate stuff too much. I've already sent some stogies...today while listening to the roar of an air cooled six horse Briggs, I was trying to think of "little luxuries" he and others over there might like. Some gourmet coffee (not whole bean) might be nice. And yes, a good package of BACON...so he can duct tape a strip to each bomb!
Taliban announcing they'll fight to the last man. We can always hope, right? Whoops..too far off topic. But I remember from buddies in 'Nam years ago..all sorts of things that don't mean much to us can mean a LOT to guys in that situation...just little luxuries, stuff that we here take for granted.

Question

Is he in Saudi? When I was there in peace-time (assuming there is ever such a thing there) the local 'receivers' do not pass along certain, uh, nonconforming-type, uh, contraband. Will/can he get non-car, 'good' stuff?

I am going to send him some GOOD Canadian Maple Candies and a Hot Wheels 911, at least he can play with it while he is there, and it is small enough that it won't take up precious space.

Lets try and get him packages from all "our" countries. I'm there for Canada!

You guys are too much.

I don't know what to say. The thought of people caring about me, the guys, and what we are doing over here enough to take time out of their day to send us a little bit of home is cool.
You guys are the best.

I should say, package weight is a big issue right now so try to keep it light, booze is a big no no...at least until the pilots get in here and want beer.
Then it will most likely change. The "0"s can get things done pretty quick.

Car mags and beef jerky are always cool!
Remember that these packages will be put through extreemes that the US Post office could only dream about. Lots of real hot...then real cold and sitting in warehouses, trucks being kicked and gumbled all over kingdom come.
Word to the wise- put a return address and pack "de-fence-ably"
And Adam... I am in the Air Force...
We are already designing the volleyball court and swimming pool.... of COURSE we have CD players!
