What kind of clutch Disc?

Who made this? I checked part number and nothing came up looking like this. It came out of my early 1974 2.7. Had a Aluminum Sport pressure plate that I weighed at 4.0 lbs. I spoke with Porsche mechanic and he said he had never seen one like that.

It's not the stock replacement. Part number is correct, but take a good look at style. I can't find one that looks the same. Could it be something custom?

Wouldn't doubt it. A lot of times, the aftermarket uses a tried and true design, then adds their stuff to it.

Is it organic like or stringy like?

South bend clutch will (likely) install a lining on it. I don't know that theres any way to know who did the first lining on it.

Why do you need this? Won't a regular disc work fine? Big HP?
