930 brake conversion question

I'm installing 930 brakes on my '72 and had the rear calipers modified for 3" mounts. I was told to hook up the brake line to the crossover line and cap off the original brake line hookup with a bleed valve (pointing to the right in this picture). But using the original hookup looks simpler as long as I can make a hard line for that connection and the make a new crossover line.

Thoughts?

Say what now? Can you show a photo of the entire caliper with the proposed line arrangement?

Take a day and read my experience doing doing this same job. I ended up cutting the original ports and milling in new ones. It's a job Clint at Rebel S needs to include in his website. Have a look towards the end.

Cleaning/Rebuilding 930 Calipers....

EDIT: Actually, this may get you to what you need a little quicker. John D, the founder of Rennlist asked me about them in OT one day so I started another thread there:

I think you will find that your sideways bleeder nipple is going to hit on your oil lines or your frame if you don't cut off that bung.

Ah. That makes sense now. The second pic shows the line coming from the bottom of the caliper cross over line (on the left side - not a great pic tho). That's what Clint sent me and said to use the line at the cross over line. Then put a bleed nipple in the factory feed location but I wasn't sure why. When it is up on a lift that kind of interference isn't apparent.

You and I both have "late" rears with the extra long supply port that hits the banana when mounted right side up. Early calipers had a banjo and had their supply line plumbed to the bottom for easy bleeding.

Now I have the banjos but I've still not flipped mine over as that would require me to flip the dogs and I'm not wanting to go in that deep yet.

Here are mine as of an hour or so ago. I'm adding an AFR meter so I was under there:
