Did I get the wrong oil filter?

I have a 1985 911 with a 1995 3.6. Last week I ordered 2 filters, one for the tank inside the fender and one for the engine. I got 993 107 203-03 and 993 207 201-02. Something doesn't look right?

The small one is the correct one to go on your '95 MY engine. However the one for your '85MY oil tank should be an OC54

The OC213 may well fit the oil tank but all that extra length may be a bit of a pain.

Sometimes bigger is not always better. Impressive though.

As the others said you have the 2 correct filters for a 993
OC213 is the 993 chassis filter
OC229 is the 993 engine mounted oil filter - you will use this one
you need one of the following 911 chassis mounted filters
either
OC54
or
PC260
