911 st carburators system

I got a 911 ST 1970 and I don't understand the system on the carburetors that throw fuel on each of the carburetors and the solenoid attached to the injectors pump.

Can anyone explain how it works? I need diagram of electric connection.

THANK YOU

those are not carbs that is a mechanical fuel injection system. someone more in the know than me may be able to say whether that's an OE system or not. the twin plug indicates it may not be a factory set up, but very very cool all the same.

As Juanbenae said, those are not carbs, but rather a mechanical fuel injection ("MFI") system. More that that, that looks to be an MFI system modified for race/hot rod purposes. The cold start enrichment circuit has been removed off the back of the MFI pump.

In regards to your question on solenoids, are you wondering about the cylindrical one on top of the MFI pump? That is the barometric pressure solenoid to change fuel enrichment based on altitude or changing barometric pressure.

If that is not what you are asking about, post a more specific picture of what you have a question about.

Beautiful car. Great motor. Whoever built that motor apparently knew what they were doing. Have any details on the motor?

Where are you located? Again tell us any history you have on the car.

I just noticed there is no sound deadener in the engine compartment. Loud?

Thank you all for your comments. I am trying to get the history of this car and will let you know. I know is one of 24 built where all were costume made, it is the only one 911STR 1970.
Next week I will post more detailed pics on the carburators if you can call them carburators and the cold start enrichment circuit.

What you call carburetors are the throttle bodies. Yes, given the VIN we can understand it a lot more. The ST cars are relatively well known. The engine type # and serial # would be important in understanding the engine that is in there. There were a few different displacements with corresponding differences in fuel injection set-up.

Question New in the forum

I am new in this forum and I am just learning how it works. I am not an expert in Porsche and that is why I am participating to learn from all you.
I am managing a Porsche collection and I am finding thing I don't understand, besides that my work is to keep the records of each car and recopiliate the history and certification of the cars.
About my questions I am posting some pix so you can understand my doubts.

There is a solenoid on top of the fuel pump which is disconnected, and another one in front the throttle bodies not connected either.

Thank you for your help.
